vert-tree-1Health & Wellness Workshop topics:

  • Meditation: Come home to the peace that lies within you; energize through stillness, refocusing and recharging the essential you.
    • Meditation workshops usually run every other Thursday evening from 7:15–8:30pm. Whether you are a beginner, or seasoned practitioner, you will benefit from this class. The beginner will learn proper posture and breathing, as well as techniques for quieting the mind. The more seasoned practitioner will enjoy reaching higher levels of meditation, as the energy of the group takes you further and deeper. Each class will include a period of guided meditation as well as a period of silence and will be preceded by some gentle Hatha yoga, pranayama (breathing practices) and shavasana (relaxation).
  • Partner yoga:  Lighten up your relationship, deepen your connection.
    • Partner yoga workshops teach additional positions and integration of another person into your individual yoga practice. It is a playful, fun way to experience a deeper spiritual and physical bonding, build trust and intimacy, as well as expand your communication skills. These workshops are for couples as well as friends. What to bring to this class: Patience, a sense of humor and an open mind.
  • Sugar blues:  Understanding the reason behind your sugar cravings.
    • The sugar blues workshop explores the causes and possible elimination of your sugar cravings. You crave sugary snacks to give you energy or satisfy that sweet tooth, but you end up more tired afterwards. You also notice that you may not be at your ideal weight, you have poor sleep or other health concerns like dull skin, headaches or are feeling stressed. This workshop will look at what causes your sugar cravings, explore ways to cut back or eliminate the use of refined sugar, and introduce ideas on how to manage your sugar cravings.
  • Wellness retreats:  to relax and rejuvenate.
    • We all need time to get away and replenish our energy stores which get depleted from the demands of our sometimes chaotic and frenzied lifestyles. Relax and rejuvenate in an environment that invites you to become fully present in the moment and release tension. Our retreats are held in a quiet natural setting, allowing time for reflection and renewal. We offer morning and evening yoga/meditation, kirtan, healthy meals, walks in nature and massage.
  • Women’s Full Moon Circles.
    • Every month the power of the full moon reaches into our lives, but especially the lives of women. Share in the camaraderie and exploration of the energies operating at this time of the month with like-minded women seeking connection. This is a time to be seen, heard, and held as sacred as we gather together to support one another and honor our femininity.
